In honor of Mother’s Day, The Flower Bucket is shining the spotlight on one of our very own floral designers and moms. She shares her experience and insight when it comes to both raising kids and choosing flowers.

How did you get into floral work? I started with a school program at 16
What do you love most about working with flowers? Every floral arrangement
is a piece of art. Every arrangement is different.
Favorite flower? Calla lily
If you design, do you have a signature style? Are you known for any
specific approach or preference? I like tall and showy floral arrangements.
Customers like the vibrant colors I use and they ask for bright and
colorful which I love! I love the happy colors.
What do you love most about being a mom? I love to keep them happy and see
What do your kids think about what you do? Are they into flowers? They say
it’s cool, and they are proud to have a talented mom. Through the years they
have learned a lot of flower names.
What flowers or flower design do moms really want for Mother’s Day, from
your point of view? Speaking as both a mom and a flower expert? If you
could pick one design from your selection to receive yourself, which would
Moms usually like flowers that have fragrance. Roses and lilies are a
favorite. I love the Burgundy Blush from our Mother’s Day selection, and I
love designing it!
