Color Up Your Home With Pantone’s Color Of The Year

When Pantone® announced in early December 2018 that their chosen color for 2018 would be Ultra Violet, it’s hard to imagine that there weren’t a lot of collective sighs and head shaking among designers throughout the world. Our floral designers at The Flower Bucket in San Antonio love our creative challenges, and this is an exciting one because of the intensity of the color.

Ultra Violet is a bright purple that combines red and blue. Purple is also the color of royalty. Finding the ideal combination of flowers to create the powerful and dramatic feeling that Ultra Violet evokes is challenging. We’ve combined delicate Ultra Violet dendrobium orchids with bright purple carnations, soft, sophisticated purple calla lilies, and pure white roses to create the elegant arrangement we call Kate. We add seeded eucalyptus stems, curly willow branches, and greenery to a clear glass vase that we accent with a narrow wire band of tiny ultra violet-colored beads. Let this elegant arrangement greet visitors on a console entry table, or dress up your coffee table while you entertain your friends.

So forget about the dismal Texas weather and warm up your home with Pantone’s color of 2018. The Flower Bucket is always eager to help you infuse your home with the beautiful sight and aroma of fresh flower arrangements
